Chew Kwee San, Council Member of the Tan Chin Tuan Foundation is named the new President of the Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) of Singapore. Mr Chew, has been a YMCA volunteer since 1999 and is currently a member of the National Council of YMCAs of Singapore.
The Health Post Project in the Village of Huay Kuk in Chiang Rai, Thailand has been recently completed. The Buitelaar Health Post was made possible thanks to the generous contributions of the Buitelaar family, the Tan Chin Tuan Foundation, and Bruno Proto and Maria Cristina Corcione together with the Continuing Education University of Trento.
50 years ago, Mr Lee Kok Wah, received the Tan Chin Tuan Scholarship to pursue his ‘A’ level studies. The scholarship was followed by a bursary, also provided by Tan Sri Dr Tan Chin Tuan to pay for his studies in social sciences. Mr Lee is now a business man with over 40 years of experience. He has made a gift to NUS to set up a bursary in memory of his parents.

The Tan Chin Tuan Foundation runs the first of two Project Cheer sessions held this year, encouraging teens to become mentors and demonstrate to younger children that they too can make a difference in other people’s lives.
