TCTF beneficiaries, interns and scholars engaged in dialogue with Mr Joel and Cole Sartore.

The roundtable also served as a platform for the youths to connect and network.

YARP: National Geographic Photography Roundtable with Mr Joel Sartore

6 Jun 2016

Gathered around a roundtable, youth beneficiaries from TCTF-supported Lakeside Family Services, and past and present Tan Sri (Dr) Tan Chin Tuan scholars from Ngee Ann Polytechnic engaged in a two-hour roundtable dialogue on 6 June 2016 about photography, environmental issues and conservation. Under TCTF’s Young Arts Reporter Project, the youths were given a rare opportunity to tap into the insight and expertise of well-known National Geographic photographer Joel Sartore and his son, Cole Sartore.

Raising questions about photography, the youths also gleaned nuggets of advice on how to compose a good photograph and learned about challenges faced when pursuing a career in photography.
