The foundation held its inaugural Charity Media Roundtable: Non-Profit Organisations Impacting ASEAN on 21 April 2016. The roundtable served as a platform for heads of various non-profits working in ASEAN to be introduced to media representatives, learn how to manage the media and improve outreach strategies. Three speakers, Ms Tan Hui Yee (The Straits Times), Ms Shefali Srinivas (WE Communications) and Rebecca Lim (Our Better World) shared tips and tricks on how to better connect and engage the media.
Guests from Enactus Singapore, Operation ASHA (Cambodia), Our Better World, Pistorio Foundation, The Red Pencil, Rotary Foundation, Social Capital Venture Development Foundation, Singapore Press Holdings, WE Communications and YMCA of Singapore joined in the discussion. They voiced their organisations’ media-related difficulties allowing the speakers to directly address the issues raised.
