Since 2012, the foundation has supported public school reintegration, non-formal education and vocational training for marginalised children and youth through Friends-International programmes. Through the partnership, we reach out to children, youth and their families in Siem Reap, Cambodia (Kaliyan Mith Education Centre Programme) and Jakarta, Indonesia (Teman Baik Programme). To date, nearly 300 children have been reintegrated back into public school while more than 150 youth and families have been supported through vocational training with a quarter being placed into employment.
On 29 October 2015, TCTF visited the Friends-International’s Educational and Training Center in Phnom Penh, Cambodia to get to know the children and youth who are currently undergoing the Kaliyan Mith Programme.
