Tan Chin Tuan Music-For-All: SSO Classics in the Park

On Sunday, 11 May 2014, the Tan Chin Tuan Foundation invited some of its beneficiaries and guests to the “Tan Chin Tuan Music-For-All: SSO Classics in the Park – Mothers’ Day Concert”. The public concert was held at the Botanic Gardens and the audience enjoyed a wonderful evening of music by the Singapore Symphony Orchestra.

The orchestra, led by SSO conductor Jason Lai, performed several compositions including “Voices of Spring” and “Valse from Swan Lake Suite”. Sweet dedications written by the audience to their mothers were also read out during the concert. Sandalwood fans were presented to all mothers during the concert as a token of appreciation for their selfless love, in commemoration of Mother’s Day!

Our Council Members, Dr Tan Kheng Lian and Ms Chew Gek Khim, also interacted with guests from our various TCTF- supported charities including Care Community Services Society, Institute of Mental Health, Lions Befrienders, Muslim Kidney Action Association, New Hope Community Services and RSVP. The radiant smiles on everyone’s faces proved the night to be a meaningful and enjoyable one!
