TCT Centennial Forum 2011

29 Oct 2011

The inaugural Tan Chin Tuan Centennial Forum was held in Tianjin, China, in 2008, Tan Sri Tan Chin Tuan’s Birth Centennial Year.

The second Tan Chin Tuan Centennial Forum was held on 29 October 2011 in Beijing, China, in conjunction with the Alumni Reunion for the graduates of the Master of Science in Managerial Economics (MME) and Master of Public Administration (MPA) Programmes of Nanyang Technological University (the “Mayors’ Class”) from 1999 to 2006. Many of these alumni are senior leaders and policy makers from China’s public sector.

Themed “Sustainability in the 21st Century: Strategies for Economic and Social Development”, the forum explored and deliberated on sustainable development strategies and approaches from a global and regional perspective, while integrating the strategic development of a specific region in China.

In co-hosting this forum with NTU, the Foundation hoped to promote friendship, knowledge-sharing, and enduring ties between the “Mayors’ Class” alumni and their alma mater, NTU.
