‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears’ Musical

On Wednesday, 27 March 2013, Tan Chin Tuan Foundation (TCTF), in partnership with Encore! The European Season in Singapore recently treated four TCTF-supported charities to the musical, “Goldilocks and the Three Bears”. A total of 194 beneficiaries from Beyond Social Services, D’Joy Children’s Centre, Galilee Centre and two YWCA Child Development Centres (Bishan and Bukit Gombak) joined us for an afternoon filled with fun and laughter.
Produced by The Little Company, the children were enthralled by the engaging show featuring catchy songs and hilarious dances – edutainment that also managed to convey an undertone of eco-conservation. Adapting from the original version by the Brothers Grimm, the show ended with Goldilocks and the Three Bears working together to save their beloved woodlands. After the musical, an exclusive meet-and-greet session was organized for our guests, where they got to take photos and interact with cast members. The children also presented lilies (with compliments from TCTF) to each cast member as a token of appreciation.
The children enjoyed themselves tremendously, with many still discussing the show excitedly after it ended. One child opined, “The scratching song was very funny.”, while another exclaimed, “The porridge machine was so cool!”
