CARE.sg youths at the Victoria Theatre before the “Magic Flute” performance.
Music Flute Workshop & Opera Performance

TCTF in partnership with Singapore Lyric Opera (SLO) invited Children-At-Risk Empowerment Singapore (CARE.sg) to a workshop at MICA building. There, the youths were introduced to different African sounds created by African musical instruments.
They were taught the difference between the original Mozart version and the African version. The youths were quick to learn and were able to differentiate the instruments used for the various musical pieces during the “Magic Flute” performance.
After the introductory workshop, the students had he chance to experience a real opera at the Victoria Theatre by African troupe presenting the “Magic Flute”. The performance was part of the Singapore Arts Festival.
