St. Theresa’s Home

3 Mar 2011

Having enjoyed a fruitful visit to the Pompeii: Life in a Roman Town 79 CE exhibition in January (under TCTF’s Young Arts Reporter Project), 25 secondary school students from CHIJ Katong Convent’s Cabin Club contributed to the community through their participation in Project Cheer at St. Theresa’s Home on 3rd March 2011.

On 2nd March 2011, a speaker from the Alzheimer’s Disease Association was invited to share with the students and their schoolmates from IJ Youth Mission Club about Dementia. On 3rd March 2011, the residents had a treat from TCTF for tea. After tea, the students presented a little gift to each of the 192 residents, and did Batik painting together with 20 of them. All enjoyed the art activity and clapped as each art piece came to its beautiful completion. The event concluded with the students pasting colourful stickers on a feedback activity booklet and penning their messages to the Home and the Foundation.
