Man Fatt Lam Home for the Aged

15 Aug 2009

TCTF collaborated with the Buddhist Fellowship in bringing cheer to the elderly residents at Man Fatt Lam Home for the Aged on Saturday, 15 August.

The afternoon after the residents had their lunch, started with a game of bingo led by Angie Monksfield (Buddhist Fellowship). Volunteers quickly spread themselves around the room to assist the elderly in the game while the numbers were called out in English, Mandarin and in dialect so that everyone could understand. After the game, residents were treated to freshly baked cake and drinks before being entertained by performances from the Buddhist fellowship choir. The elderly were engaged by the upbeat songs and started dancing with the volunteers. Volunteers spread across the room to lead the elderly in clapping along to the tempo and singing with the choir.
