The joy of seeing her patients get their lives back on track has kept principal assistant nurse at the Institute of Mental Health (IMH), Madam Rahinah Ibrahim, 52, in nursing for half her life. “My team and I assist patients who have the potential to reintegrate back into society. It is very rewarding to be part of their recovery journey.” She won first prize at the annual Tan Chin Tuan Nursing Award held on 23 November; the highest accolade for enrolled nurses in Singapore. The awards were presented by Senior Minister of State for Law and Health Edwin Tong, Chairman of D S Lee Foundation Dr Della Lee, who founded the award and Deputy Chairman of Tan Chin Tuan Foundation Ms Chew Gek Khim.
